Theo the Fighter
"On February 9th, at just 16 weeks pregnant with twins (Christopher and Theo) my water broke early with one of our twin boys, Christopher. Doctors told us that it would be 24-48 hours before I’d go into labor & likely loose both boys. But Christopher defied every expectation. For nearly two months, his heartbeat stayed strong, giving us hope day after day. I was on bedrest at home for these months with my older two boys.
Then, everything changed on March 28th.
A sudden uterine infection forced me into early labor. Both boys were delivered at 22 weeks 5 days. I held Christopher in my arms as his heart slowly stopped beating.
Now, while we’ve been grieving the loss of Christopher, we’ve been walking a new and difficult road with Theo, born 1lb 2oz, currently in the NICU. He is facing many challenges but is feisty and strong, already making his personality known. The doctors constantly tell me he is “such a fighter” and “not giving up anytime soon”. We are so very proud of him and are all pushing through this tough time." NICU + Loss Mama, Bella 🤍
